Foundations is the newly formed charity within the Stockport Homes Group and is responsible for the delivery of the Motiv8 BBO (Building Better Opportunities) programme. Aimed at supporting unemployed and economically inactive individuals who are furthest away from the labour market, the programme supports individuals over the age of 25 who are experiencing a wide range of issues from disabilities, health conditions, drug and alcohol dependencies, homelessness, domestic violence and ex-offenders.
Our Key Workers work positively with a wide range of vulnerable individuals and households, agreeing bespoke action plans with the participants; acting as a positive motivational role model to your participants and engaging each participant with tenacity and enthusiasm.
Completing detailed assessments and action plans the Key Workers will enable the participant to identify their strengths and goals and work towards achievable outcomes which will address their barriers and improve all aspects of their health, wellbeing and economic independence.
With the ability to deliver support services to participants with complex needs, you will have experience of working with people in a support, advice, employability or housing setting including home visits, group settings and one to one based meetings. An understanding of the complex barriers participants face is essential and you must have experience of working within a performance management setting whilst meeting targets.
Motiv8 is a programme that is being delivered across the 10 regions of Greater Manchester. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes is desirable however this is not essential.
You will be employed to work solely on the Motiv8 project. This position is funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund (2014-2020) and The National Lottery Community Fund, through the Building Better Opportunities Programme.
Post requires DBS the successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
